Tip-top authors!

Cathy Cassidy - Met her twice, a brilliant woman, who writes books you can actually connect to. If you haven't read Cherry Crush, you have my sympathy.

Sophia Bennett - Oh lordy, what a woman! She's witty, clever and fashiony, all her books are realistic and the characters are fantastically created. Find a copy of Threads NOW.
Anna Godbersen - My current obsession. Her writing is clear and gives across alot of feeling, her novels are heavily detailed and beautiful, and the plotlines are dramatic. If you want a good historical read, try her books.

Enid Blyton - Yup, I know. A children's author, but so what? In truth, I still find her Malory Towers and St Claire's series entertaining and fun to read. A perminant figure on any bookaholic's shelf!
Noel Straetfield - A writer from the '30s whose books are still with us today. Ballet Shoes is her most credited and best work of art, as a loved story of the stage, poverty and sisterly love. The film adaption in 2007 makes me cry, laugh and smile every time I watch it, and the book is just as so.

Maggi Gibson - New on the block, about a year ago her debut series Seriously Sassy appeared by my side, and I fell in love. If you love the enviroment, good friends, great lyrics and a chatty narrator who tells it like it is, read the SS trilogy - it won't disappoint!

Richelle Mead - She's different to every other author, as she writes vampire fiction. However, you gotta have a variety of genres! Richelle writes the six-part Vampire Academy books and is currently typing the spin-off series which starts with Bloodlines this summer. I adored all the VA's, which are on my list for a re-read, and the time spent reading each page (it does take ages to read some of the books) is worth it for the ending!

Jacqueline Wilson - My childhood favourite. Still, today I still flip through her two biographies and a few of the older books she wrote, like The Diamond Girls and Lola Rose. She is a brilliant author, who I met once, and her name and books will live on forever.

Chris Higgins - Another 'newbie'. She's written a good handful of stories, all of them unique and lovely to sink into. The dialogue is great, the plots amazing, the characters all with a mixed personality - the love/hate kind. I look forward to reading her next novel!

Luisa Plaja - I'm awaiting to read books by Luisa, so I can't say much, but every blog I meet declares her cool and books amazing, so we'll go with that. I hope I can say the same when I get my hands on one of her books!
