Weekly Wanted: Wishlit Wonders #5

Got to apologize for not doing one last week, but frantic schedule meant a miss out for one week... this really should be no.6, but isn't. Oh well. Thumbs up to Amber and Rachel, who are the fabbity createttes of this weekly meme! :)

1. Envy by Anna Godbersen.
New York City, 1900 - In high society nothing is more dangerous than a scandal. Two months have passed since the esteemed Holland family's shocking fall from grace and those watching the impetuous Miss Diana Holland are beginning to whisper again.
Further uptown, notorious cad Henry Schoonmaker and his new bride are the city's most celebrated couple. But the glittering diamond she wears hasn't yet brought her all she desires. Manhattan's most envied residents appear to have everything: wealth, beauty, happiness. But in a city ruled by reputation, sometimes the most practised smiles hide the most scandalous secrets...

Official Publication Date: 2009 (paperback).

2. Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead.
It all comes down to now. Murder. Love. Jealousy. And the ultimate sacrifice. The Queen is dead and the Moroi world will never be the same. Now, with Rose wrongly awaiting execution and Lissa in a deadly struggle for the throne, the girls find themselves forced to rely on enemies and to question those they thought they could trust. But what is freedom means sacrificing the most important thing of all?
Each other.

3. Anastasia by Carolyn Meyer.

Then come the First World War and the Bolshevik revolution, With the royal family arrested and exiled to Siberia, the life she knew is swept away forever. Fear and uncertainty are all that remains...

Official Publication Date: 2000 (paperback).

You like? They're all from different genres too, which is the first week I've actually done that. Is that important to have a mixed taste of reads, or do you reckon finding one type you like is enough? Comment with views, please! K-A x.

P.S. Sorry for no piccies at the mo - will be uploaded soon. (GTG NOW!!!) x

Award!!!!

WTML got her first award! Zoe Crook, brilliant bloggette from Bookhi, had given me the 'Stylish Blogger Award'! YAY. I call this a time for celebration, with muffins (latest obsession), and while we're on the thought of muffin, s'mite I mension that I have started a new blog on normal stuff (like Let's Go To A Journey, all about day to day life, blahblahlblah). Written the same style, still with bookish stuff... If it sounds your thing, head over there now. The link-thingy is on the side with the other fabbytastic ones!
ANYWAY. Back to my award. First one, too! Big hugs to Zoe who gave this to me - now for my seven facts you might not/might do know, and the fifteen lucky ones who I am passing this onto...

Seven Things You NEVER knew!
1. I couldn't throw a ball in benchball until last week. :P
2. My dream is to either be a teen novelist, cake decorator or interior designer for WAGs and Paris Hilton-alikes.
3. I started ballet lessons when I was four but quit the week after because the teacher wouldn't let me eat a custard cream at the rest break.
4. I've always attempted to keep a diary, but never write in one longer then a week.
5. I plan to take a gap year before college and go to Parisian fashion shows, Venice boat rides, trips to see koala bears in Austrailia and bead-shopping in India.
6. My all-time favourite foods are peanut-butter on toast, McDonald's burgers, fish and tartare sauce and strawberry ice cream with hot fudge sauce drizzled on top!
7. If I could, I'd go back in time to the 1920's and be a flapper living in exotic, lively London, wearing tassle dresses, smoking and drinking myself stupid, and basically having a life rain-free and much more interesting then the one I have.

Lucky fifteen!
1. The Beaucoup Review - Ria.
2. Bookster Reviews - Cliona.
3. Books Are A Girl's Best Friend - Stephanie.
4. The Mile Long Bookshelf - Amber.
5. Bookhi - Zoe .
6. The Life of Cat - A Teenage Daydreamer - Cat.

13. Read It. Write It. Dream It. - Miss J.
14. My Game, My Rules - Angela.

Not all are book blogs, but hey, I love them all. Not in that order, mind, but yeah! I'll contact my fifteen as soon as so they can repost their own award specially from me, my muffins and my bookalicous life. Expect good reviews of I'd tell You I love You, But then I'd have to Kill You (phew!) and Dreamer Ballerina, in the coming week or so, and my Wishlit Wonder on Sun.

Toodalo!

a sort-of IMM.

IMM is In My Mailbox, right? I suppose this is onee of them. But it isn't. But it is. No. Yes. No. Yes. GAH!
I meant to start of with apologizing for the lack of POSTS. I'm sorry, I've had a hectic week! I've read and read, however, in every minute I can squeeze in. So, this is a little list of what is to come, all the books to be read and reviewed....

Rumours by Anna Godbersen
Eleanor: Crown Jewel of Aquitaine by Kristiana Gregory
Beads, Boys & Bangles by Sophia Bennett
Matched by Ally Condie
Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen
Anastasia by Carolyn Meyer
Ballet Shoes by Noel Straitfeild
Blue Bloods by Melissa De La Cruz
The Clique by Lisi Harrison
Vampire Academy: Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead
Doomed Queen Anne by Carolyn Meyer
I have a huge love of history. That list is pretty much preoccupied with Russian grand duchesses, doomed queens, pure-blooded dominents and girls who's stories are always complicated, set in the past, present and future. And that's what I love about YA. The way the author uses real life but makes it much more exotic and exciting then the regular classwork and teasing us normal teens go through.
Sorry for the short post. There'll be number five of my challenge, followed by a review later in the week. Nothing else, I'm afraid until at least a week today - I hate leaving everyone in tithers, but my birthday (thirteen, thank GOD) is on Tuesday so I'm preoccupied with that! Hopefully more novels are involved. This blog needs filling!
P.S Awesome book blog Heaven, Hell and Purgatory is holding a huge giveaway, to either win a copy of a book reviewed in January or a selection including the amazing Entangled by Cat Clarke! Check it out soon or you'll miss out on some brilliant chances to win some reading goodies - head over here: http://heavenhellandpurgatory.bookreviews.com
